Datamax H-Class Printer Skips Labels

The Datamax H-Class Printer is the next generation of Industrial Printers evolving from the I-Class Printer. However, this printer may start experiencing label skipping when using a long length (more than 8"), high gloss media. The reason this occurs is two-fold. First, the nature of the high gloss, being of very smooth surface, causes the media to actually slip while being feed through the printer. Secondly, normal wear of the drive roller causes it to generally loose pressure and traction on the media. The combination of these two factors cause the media to walk forward or back. This may not be apparent by looking at the print position but eventually the label ends unexpectedly. Therefore the printer must calibrate. It accomplished this by feeding a label. To correct/control this problem, the drive roller must be replaced.
